Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Act 99 (House Bill 1575) of 1982 created the Vietnam Herbicides Information Commission (VHIC) in order to study the health effects of exposure to Agent Orange on Vietnam veterans in Pennsylvania. The Commission's final report was released in June 1987 (a copy of which is housed in this series). House Bill 942 (Act 67) of 1987 created the Vietnam Veterans Health Initiative Commission (VVHIC), replacing the VHIC, which had a similar mission. The VMC was established through Act 133 (House Bill 124) of 1986. It was established erect a monument to all veterans on the grounds of Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.� Belfanti served from 1987 to 1989.

Act 106 (Senate Bill 222) of 1992 created a fund to provide compensation to veterans who served in the Persian Gulf War of 1991.
