Legislative Audit Advisory Commission
Scope and Contents
Formed in 1970, the Legislative Audit Advisory Commission is responsible for examining the standards of audits of affairs of the General Assembly, Legislative Agencies; recommending measures for the improvement of pre-auditing and post-auditing of the financial affairs of the Commonwealth; and reporting annually those recommendations.
The audits contain financial information related to the General Assembly's expenses, offices and personnel. The firm of Ernst & Whinney (Ernst & Young after 1989) conducted the audit each year.
The collection, beginning with the 1984-1985 fiscal year, is updated annually.
