Margret Tricarico was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. During her tenure under DeWeese, Tricarico aspired to win political office when she ran for the House in 1998 and 2000 for the 199th district, but was defeated in both elections.Tricarico would eventually rise to become DeWeese's Deputy Chief of Staff, and worked under him for 18 years before his indictment in 2010.
