Scope and Contents
The Papers of Gerald Kaufman contain his legislative work, work with the national Council of Non-Profit Associations and Dignity Housing, news releases, news clippings, and a Vietnam Moratorium speech. His legislative work focused on funding youth development centers and creating the department of transportation. His news clippings cover a variety of topics such a welfare, drug abuse, the state budget, student protests, income tax, voting age, and environmental safety. The collection also includes Gerald's work from the 1992 retreat for the board of the Association for Advancement of the Mentally Handicapped.
