Photographs
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of copies of Mr. Wachob’s articles for Harrisburg Report, material from his District and Legislative work, information on his campaign for Congress in 1984 and four folders of photographs. The Harrisburg Report articles were written about once a week and serves almost as a diary. These articles not only address issues which Mr. Wachob and the General Assembly face, but also Mr. Wachob’s impressions of his job as a legislator and the work carried out by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The most extensive aspects of Mr. Wachob’s legislative work documented in his papers are Oil Divorcement and Welfare Reform. In both cases, Mr. Wachob worked on these topics across multiple sessions and introduced or amended several bills. These topics were some of the most hotly contested with which the House of Representatives worked during the late seventies and early eighties and Mr. Wachob’s papers are a valuable resource for a researcher interested in those topics as they include an abundance of media, correspondence and notes.
