WACHOB, William, a Representative from Clearfield and Elk Counties; born in Ridgway, Elk County, Pa., April 8, 1953; graduated, Fork Union Military Academy, Va.; B.A., political science, Edinboro State College (now Edinboro University of Pennsylvania), 1976; attended, University of Pennsylvania; former director of administration and finance, PA Youth Advocate Program, Inc.; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1979 term and served 2 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1984, 1986); political consultant, The Campaign Group, Inc. (1989-present).
