The 1983-1984 Select Committee on Seasonal Farm Laborers, Pursuant to House Resolution 138, for the majority, was chaired by James A. Gallagher. Members, for the majority, included Mark B. Cohen, Kenneth Cole, Jeffrey Coy, and Samuel W. Morris; for the minority, members included Howard L. Fargo, Edwin G. Johnson, Marvin Miller, Jr., and Joseph Pitts. The committee's agenda was to make a complete and thorough review and investigation of the Commonwealth's compliance under the Act of June 23, 1978, known as the Seasonal Farm Labor Act; the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act and the Department's Migrant Education Programs.
