House Resolution 138 was adopted on December 14, 1983, thereby creating the Select Committee on Seasonal Farm Labor Act to bring it into compliance with new Federal law and litigation had been undertaken and questions had been raised regarding PA's implementation of the Seasonal Farm Labor Act. Further, the resolution states that the education of migrant and seasonal farm workers' children is an important and integral part of the services provided by the Commonwealth.
