Scope and Contents
These files were kept separate and maintained as majority party research files under then Majority Chair H. William DeWeese. These files may overlap with files within the Judiciary Committee files from 1987-1988, but to maintain integrity within the collection they are being added as a separate series at the conclusion of the Committee files.
These files were in a flood many years ago, so papers are not in perfect condition and may have leftover rust stains or discoloring.

Conditions Governing Access
This collection is open for research aside from impeachment files.
The House Archives restricts all impeachment files due to their personal and confidential nature as well as the potentially untrue accusations made towards the elected officials. A researcher must obtain permission from the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives in order to view these records.
