In 1995, the Federal State Relations Committee became the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. According to the Committee's Mission Statement, the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee is "the committee where local, state, and federal issues ... have a voice and a resolution" (2007-2008 Mission Statement, Box 1, Folder 4). The Committee works as a liaison between the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and local, state and federal governments and agencies with a primary goal of developing greater cooperation between Federal, State and Local governments.
