This collection was created after it's discovery within the Insurance Committee 1987-1988 files. After analyzing the documents, these materials all belonged to Rep. Paul McHale. It contains a vast amount of materials related to the Benjamin Franklin Partnership and the Burnside Plantation Restoriation Project.
Benjamin Franklin Partnership
In 1982, the Pennsylvania General Assembly created the Ben Franklin Partnership program, which established four regional advanced technology centers at major research universities in the state. These advanced technology centers are consortiums of universities, businesses, economic development organizations, financial institutions, and others committed to the goal of job creation through industrial modernization and technological innovation.
