Allows Firefighters' Relief Association funds to be used to pay for emergency medical service training. Act No. 65.

Creates the Disaster Emergency Assistance Act under a new chapter (79) of Title 35. Act No. 187.

Preserves and expands the Military Family Relief Assistance Program (“MFRAP”). Act No. 66.

Requires approved institutions of higher learning to apply any federal tuition assistance before awarding Educational Assistance Program grants to PA National Guard personnel. Act No. 82.

Updates the current Paralyzed Veteran’s Pension Program. Act No. 180.

Extends the current prescription drug authorization for Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities which benefits veterans, to include both assisted living residences and personal care homes. Act No. 147.

Amends the Emergency and Law Enforcement Personnel Death Benefits Act, extending it to three years from the time of death.

Extends the sunset provision in Title 35, Chapter 53, governing our critical public safety answering points (PSAPs), from June 30, 2014 to June 30, 2015.

Provides for assistance to volunteer fire companies, ambulance service and rescue squads, and makes a related repeal.
