The records of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives' Education Committee, the Republicans were in the majority, the Democrats in the minority. The Chairs of the Committee were David S. Hickernell (majority) and James R. Roebuck Jr. (minorty).

This committee discussed issues dealing with pediatric vision and hearing, anti- violence within schools, career and technical education, and charter school funding.
