Scope and Contents

This collection contains records of Jeff Piccola's legislative career from 1977 to 2011. Piccola was particularly concerned with municipal waste, auto insurance reform, tort reform, and crime and crime prevention. A large part of this collection includes legislative work on these issues. The collection also has a large number of files dealing with the House Judiciary and Labor Relations Committees, which Piccola chaired, and subject files relating to the Commission on Crime and Deliquency, the Select Committee to Investigate the Capitol Addition Project, and the Task Force on Private Prisons. Furthermore, this collection contains extensive records on the 1989 Camp Hill Prison Riots and the accident at Three Mile Island in 1979. A large portion of this collection also includes newsclippings from Piccola's time in office.
