This collection contains the records of the Professional Licensure Committee for the 1979-1980 Session, Republicans in Majority. Chair Person Eugene R. Geesey (R) serving with Vice Chair Person Earl H. Smith (R). Mary Ann Arty (R) was the Secretary. This Committee met over major topics including legislative oversight of regulations, licensing of real estate brokers, conflict of interests of members of licensing boards and provisions for medical schools and licensing. This committee also held a Public Hearing in the Capitol to clarify the operation of the Governor's Energy Council.

Pursuant to House� Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing� the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material,� the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
