Scope and Contents
The records of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives' Liquor Control Committee, the Republicans in the majority, the Democrats in the minority. The Chairs of the Committee were Adam Harris (majority) and W. Curtis Thomas (minority). The Chair of the Subcommittee on Economic Development was John A. Lawrence (majority). The Chairs of the Subcommittee on Financial Services and Banking were Lynda Schlegel Culver (majority) and Stephen McCarter (minority). The Chairs of the Subcommittee on Housing were Rosemary M. Brown (majority) and Mark Rozzi (minority). The Chairs of the Subcommittee on Small Business were Duane Milne (majority) and William C. Kortz II (minority).The Secretaries of the Committee were Ryan E. Mackenzie (majority) and Micheal J. Driscol (minority).
The Commerce Committee of 2015-2016 was involved with the meetings and votings of several Bills including but not limited to the processing and handling of all fees in small businesses, tax credit programs for returning Veterans, amedning prexisting laws to either further define sections of the law as well as the addition of more precise guidelines, promoted job creation in Pennsylvania under an expansion of the Keystone Opportunity areas, guidlines on how to properly levy fees, and further guidelines on the violations of the mishandling of fees either by neglect or lack of payment.
The Committee was responsible for passing a large amendment (House Bill 1398) that replaced an already existing law on limited liability partnerships, general partnerships, and limited liability companies which clarified the conditions and transfering of property from one partnership to another.

Pursuant to House Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material, the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
