Scope and Contents
Scope and Contents: During the 2001-2002 Session the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee addressed all normal sorts of business. The majority of the supporting documents for this collection consist of Meeting Minutes and Roll Call records. "Stray Voltage and Federal Agriculture Issues" is supported by Fact Finding reports and analysis. A proposal from the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board regarding regulation of the distribution of the Over-Order Premium is included with related meeting minutes. A personal letter and photographs are included with the schedule agenda for the Public Meeting regarding House Bill 1771. A meeting regarding Federal Agriculture issues is supported by "The Northeast's Priorities for the 2002 Farm Bill" informational booklet.
With a Republican Majority the committee was chaired by Republican Raymond Bunt Jr. Serving with him were: Sheila Miller as Vice Chair and Sandra J. Major as Secretary.

Pursuant to House Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material, the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
