Liquor Control Committee, 2007-2008
Scope and Contents
In addition to the Committee's regular activities, the session of 2007-2008 focused on Direct Shipment of Wine (House Bill 2165), and Public Hearings regarding the sale of beer in convenience and grocery stores, and alcohol advertising on state funded transit systems.
A number of Public Hearings were held regarding the sale of beer in convenience and grocery stores. Photographs of retail outlets and testimony from interested parties supplement this material. An overview of the Liquor Business in Pennsylvania is provided by presentations from Liquor Control Board officials: Chief Executive Officer Joe Conti, Director Bureau of Licensing Jerry W. Waters Sr., Director of Marketing James Short, and Director of Administration Jeffery E. Johnston (Box 1, Folder 3).
A Public Hearing regarding PA Liquor Control Board 75 Initiative Modernization Report (Box 1, Folder 12) includes opening remarks from PLCB Chairman P.J. Stapleton.
