Local Government Committee, 1979-1980
Scope and Contents
This collection contains the records of the Local Government Committee for the 1979-1980 session. Republicans in majority. Chairs Marvin D. Weidner (R) and Lester Fryer (D). The Secretary was Paul Wass. The Committee met over major topics such as Municipal Police Training, Term Limits for Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, Conflict of Interest for State Officials and Employees, Establishment of Uniformity and Modernization of Land Record Systems.
In the late 1970s and early 1980s the Local Government Committee kept all of the Bill analyses together. Normally, when processing, the House Archives places each Bill and its analysis in a separate folder, but in this case, original order was preserved.
