Arrangement Note

This collection is arranged into four boxes.� Box one contains the following series:� Meetings, Tours and Public Hearings (folder 1-52).� Box two contains the following series: House Bills (folder 1-9), Senate Bills (folder 10-14), House Blue Backs (folder 15-25) and Senate Green Backs (folder 26).

Box three contains the following series: Subcommittee on Telecommunications, Meetings, Tours and Public Hearings (folder 1-4), House Bills (folder 5), House Blue Backs (folder 6), Subject Files (folder 7-11), Correspondence (folder 12) and Reports (folder 13-14).� Box four contains a Public Hearing Transcript from February 8, 1990, typed in Braille, regarding House Bill 2058, which establishes a Pennsylvania Commission for the Blind.

Method of Acquisition

Pursuant to House� Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing� the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material,� the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
