The 1989-1990 Session of the Insurance Committee was chaired by William C. Rybak (Majority). Nicholas J. Maiale (Majority) served as Vice Chair, while Frank W. Yandrisevits (Majority) served as Secretary. The Minority Chairman was Stephen F. Freind. Thomas P. Gannon (Minority) served as Minority Vice Chair. There was no Minority Secretary.

This collection is arranged into three boxes. Box one contains the following series: Committee Record (folder 1), Meetings, Tours and Public Hearings (folders 2-26), Conferences (folders 27-35) and House Bills (folders 36-59).

Box 2 contains the following series: House Bills (cont'd) (folders 1-27), Senate Bills (folders 28-29), House Blue Backs (folders 30-31), Senate Green Backs (folders 32-41) and Regulations (folders 42-45).

Box 3 contains the following series: Regulations (cont'd) (folders 1-5).

Method of Acquisition

Pursuant to House Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material, the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
