Scope and Contents
The 2013-2014 Liquor Control Committee was chaired by John Taylor (Majority) and Paul Costa (D). The Subcommittee of Licensing was chaired by John Payne (Majority) and Nick Kotik (D). The Subcommittee of Marketing was chaired by Mark Mustio (Majority) and Time Mahoney (D). Nick Miccarelli (Majority) and Tina Davis (D) served as secretary. Some of the issues that were discussed within this committee are the shipment of wine into the Commonwealth from outside states, the sales of liquor within stores, privatization of liquor and fees of the liquor within stores.

Pursuant to House Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material, the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
