The 2011-2012 Liquor Control Committee was chaired by John J. Taylor (Majority) and Dante Santoni (D). The Chair of the Subcommittee on Licensing was John D. Payne (Majority) and Nick Kotik (D). The Subcommittee on Marketing was chaired by T. Mark Mustio (Majority) and Joseph F. Brennan (D). NIck Miccarelli (Majority) and Tim Mahoney (D) served as Secretary. Some of the issues discussed in the 2011-2012 session were Beer Issues, Privatization, Direct Shipment of Wine, and Special Occasion Permits.

This collection is made of two boxes with six series: 1. Committee Records, 2. Meetings, Tours, and Public Hearings, 3. House Bills, 4. Senate Bills, 5. House Blue Backs, and 7. Senate Green Backs.

Method of Acquisition

Pursuant to House Rule 45 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (titled “Powers and Duties of Standing Committees and Subcommittees”) governing the management and disposition of historically valuable committee material,� the secretary of the committee must record the attendance of Members and any votes taken, the minutes of the meeting and records, bills, and other papers in the possession of committees and subcommittees which must be submitted to the Chief Clerk at the end of every two year legislative session for permanent archival storage.
