Report of Committee to Investigate Energy Crisis, February 13, 1973
Scope and Contents
This subcommittee was formed on January 15, 1934 by House Majority Leader Robert J. Butera. It was created as a response to the energy crisis happening in Pennsylvania. The subcommittee members included the chairmen of the Committees on Conservation, Consumer Protection, Business and Commerce, and Mines and Minerals, in conjunction with their minority chairmen counterparts, and one other member from each of the four committees, to create a 12-person committee.
Chairman, W. William Wilt (Conservation Chair). Other members included Percy G. Foor (Consumer Protection Chair), Harry R. Bittle (Conservation Minority Chair), Samuel W. Frank (Business and Commerce), Eugene Gelfand (Consumer Protection), Eugene R. Geesey (Consumer Protection Minority Chair), Kenneth S. Halverson (Business and Commerce Minority Chair), John F. Laudadio, Sr. (Mines and Minerals), Bernard F. O'Brien (Mines and Minerals), Paul G. Ruane (Mines and Minerals), L. Eugene Smith (Business and Commerce Chair), and James J. Ustynoski (Mines and Minerals Minority Chair).
