Scope and Contents
This Special Committee was established on June 4, 1973 with House Resolution 67 and concluded hearings in February 1974. The prime sponsor of the resolution was Lucien E. Blackwell. The committee met with public officials and gang members. This report also includes a subreport, "Investigative Report of Motorcycle Gangs in Conjunction with House Resolution 136 of 1973. The report wasn't written until after September 1974.
This Special Committee was chaired by Daniel E. Beren, Vice Chairman Lucien E. Blackwell. Other members include Harry I. Checchio, Sherman Hill, Michael O. Myers, Joseph R. Pitts, David P. Richardson, Frank A. Salvatore, and Hardy Williams.
