Scope and Contents
Representative Ellen M. Bard served as a Republican member from Montgomery County from 1995-2004. While she was in office she served on these committees: Aging and Youth (1995-1996), Environmental Resources and Energy (2003-2004), Intergovernmental Affairs (1997-1998), Liquor Control (1999-2000), Local Government (1995-2004), Transportation (1995-2004), Tourism and Recreational Development (1997-2004), and Urban Affairs (2001-2002). Ellen Bard’s collection reflects the legislation she was passionate about, including, the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program (D.A.R.E.), tax collector training and continuing education, education in human rights, alternative fuel, wind energy, and environmental protections, and healthcare malpractice. There are also many photographs reflecting her time in office. Such as hosting several local programs, being involved with the D.A.R.E. program, meeting constituents, awareness events, campaigning, press conferences, and bill signings.
