1989-1990

March 1989, from Nancy Starr, President Erie County Council of the Chemical People, Inc., to Rep. Thomas Scrimenti. Disturbed to learn that funding for Pennsylvania Aware was eliminated from Governor Casey's proposed budget.

April 6, 1989, from Rep. Thomas Scrimenti, to Nancy Starr, President Erie County Council of the Chemical People, Inc. Thanking her for her letter and appropriations is currently underway. Attached is a memo from Phil Murphy, Democratic Research and Services to Rep. Thomas Scrimenti. He mentions "Pennsylvanians Aware" is actually a Republican WAM, but letter is written like a normal appropriations inquiry.

1991-1992

May 1991, form letter to mail to constituents. Writing them about the budget problem and lists several issues he has asked legislative colleagues to do. Attached is the memo from Jeff Foreman, Director Research and Legislative Services Office, to Rep. Scrimenti. Subject: Draft letter to supporters.

June 5, 1991, from Rep. Thomas Scrimenti, to a constituent. Thank you for the advice and suggestions. He will keep seniors on a fixed income in mind for PACE.

June 11, 1991, from Rep. Thomas Scrimenti, to a constituent. Discussing his new baby, and grateful for welfare recipient ideas.

November 2, 1991, from David J. Billingsley, Time Insurance Services, to Rep. Thomas Scrimenti. Asking him to vote to repeal the part of the 1991 budget which imposes a 2% tax on certain annuities. This will injure senior citizens most.

November 8, 1991, from Rep. Thomas Scrimenti, to David J. Billingsley, Time Insurance Services. He is not impressed with the new budget either and will use the argument mentioned in the letter.
