Scope and Contents
This collection contains the records of the Transportation Committee for the 1989-1990 Session, Democrats in majority. Chairs Joseph A Petrarca (D) and Rudolph Dininni (R) serving with secretary Joseph F. Markosek (D). This committee met over major topics such as construction of highway bridges, work zone safety, certificate of title for out-of-state vehicles and alternative motor fuels. It held public hearings in Harrisburg regarding compensation for school bus gas fees and litigation for drivers of commercial vehicles and school buses. This committee also toured the Martin Luther King, Jr. East Bus Way, the LRT Station, South Hills Village Rail Center and Greater Pittsburgh Airport in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
