Legislative Work

 Series — Box: 1

Scope and Contents

Dwight Evans’ lengthy legislative career is chronicled in this series through newsletter clippings. Additionally, correspondence, briefings, information packets, and other forms are represented within this collection. Starting with his fight on the blight of Germantown and West Oak Lane and up through his Fresh Food Finance Initiative, Evans fought to improve his district and better his constituents lives through urban revitalization and education reforms. Many, though not all, of the folders within are in original order. Otherwise, the documents are arranged chronologically.

Evans' 20-year career as the Chairman of Appropriations is also presented as a sub-series: "Appropriations Chairman, 1990-2010."
