Scope and Contents
The Professional Licensure Committee records from the 2007-2008 session, the Democrats in the Majority. The Chairs were P. Michael Sturla (Majority) and William Adolph (Minority). The Vice Chair was Harry Readshaw (Majority). The Secretary was Sean Ramaley (Majority).
The Professional Licensure Committee proposes licensure regulations for the state. Some of the many topics include the following: the licensing of physician assistants, the disciplinary process and procedures regulating the State Board of Dentistry, and the licensing of electrologists. The committee consisted of 24 members from 1979 through 1998. Fourteen members were from the majority party while the remaining ten members were of the minority party. During the 1999-2002 session years the committee consisted of 26 members. Fifteen members were from the majority party and the remaining eleven members were from the minority party.
