Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection is an outstanding resource for researchers investigating the history of legislatures as well as the modernizing process. The papers consist of an extensive library of books on legislatures in general and files on the National Conference of State Legislatures and Pennsylvania’s legislature. In addition, there are records on the Bicentennial Session of the General Assembly held in Philadelphia in 1976 as well as office activity records. Fineman’s speeches on a multitude of topics provide an in depth view into his beliefs on issues as well as allowing a researcher to appreciate his style and sense of humor. An excellent collection of photographs is the last segment of this collection.
