Tom Murphy (chairman), Richard Cessar, David Levdansky, James Merry, Christopher McNally, Jess Stairs, and Thomas Michlovic served on the Select Committee on Industrial Development Corporations (IDC). The committee held three public hearings, conducted personal interviews, and contacted all 138 of the state’s registered IDC’s, asking for information such as charters, mission statements, financial audits, and names of their board of directors. Records from the eighty-eight companies that complied with the committee’s requests make up the bulk of this collection. The committee submitted their final report to the General Assembly on November 24, 1992.
