This collection includes the papers of Lea Barbush, a House Staff Member under Speaker Herbert Fineman (D) from 1975-1977, and later under Representative and Majority Leader James J. Manderino (D) from 1987-1989. Most of the materials relate to Fineman or Manderino and include biographical materials, news clippings, planning materials and coordination efforts for Opening Day in 1977, 1987, and 1989, as well as committee assignment documents, correspondence, photographs, and handwritten notes. The collection also includes event materials from the Special Bicentennial Legislative Session held in Independence Hall in 1976 as well as the National Conference of State Legislatures held in Philadelphia in 1975 to commemorate the first reading of the U.S. Constitution.
