The 2013-2014 Tourism and Recreational Development Committee was chaired by Jerry A. Stern (Majority) and Thaddeus Kirkland (D). The Subcommittee on Arts and Entertainment was chaired by Karen Boback (Majority) and Daniel Deasy (D). The Subcommittee on Recreation was chaired by Kurt Masser (Majority) and Mark Longietti (D). The Subcommittee on Travel Promotion was chaired by Marcia Hann (Majority) and Robert Matzi (D). Frank Farina (D) served as secretary. Some of the issues that were discussed are County Codes, Pennsylvania Consolidated Statures, Pennsylvania tourism Commissions power and duties, County Codes regarding taxes on hotel room rentals, and historic Preservation Incentive Grant Program.
