The 2013-2014 Local Government Committee was chaired by Kate Harper (Majority) and Robert Freeman (D). The Subcommittee Chair on Boroughs was RoseMarie Swanger (Majority) and Rick Mirabito (D). The Subcommittee on Counties was chaired by David Maloney (Majority) and Tim Mahoney (D). The Subcommittee on Townships was chaired by Jerry Knowles (Majority and Mary Jo Daley (D). Warren Kampf served as secretary (Majority). Some of the topics that were discussed were Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, Consolidated Borough Codes, County Codes, and Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Codes; including assessment of mobile home and house trailors, Main Street Act which establishs the duration of grants, Third Class City Code which provides for tax levies, and it provides filing and recording of county ordinances.
