The 2011-2012 Consumer Affairs Committee was chaired by Robert W. Godshall (Majority) and Joseph Preston, Jr. (D). The Chair of the Subcommittee on Public Utilities was Rob W. Kauffman (Majority) and Eugene DePasquale (D). Brian Ellis (Majority) and Franks Burns (D) were the Chair of the Subcommittee on Telecommunications. Warren Kampf (Majority) and Joseph F. Brennan (D) were Secretary.

In the 2011-2012 session, the major topics discussed were Telecommunication and Wireless Access, Natural Gas and Electric in the competitive energy markets, Solar Energy, and Power Facilities. The committee toured several power plant facilities during session.
