Scope and Contents
House Resolution 322: A Concurrent Resolution directing a select committee to study the ramifications of repealing The Local Tax Enabling Act and taxation provisions of local government codes; and authorizing local government units to devise their own systems of taxation. House Resolution 343: A Resolution urging the respective boards of trustees of the State Employees' Retirement System (SERS) and the Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) to support and cooperate fully with the Office of Attorney General's section 402 ruling, with the Department of the Auditor General's special performance audits of SERS and PSERS and with the timely and professional completion of the special performance audits. House Resolution 376: A Resolution urging the Congress of the United States to enact legislation that would allow municipalities to contribute in-kind services as part of their cost-share under Federal grant programs. House Resolution 452: A Resolution directing the Commonwealth's Public Employee Retirement Commission to study the implementation of a Statewide retirement system for volunteer firefighters. House Resolution 714: A Resolution requesting that the United States Senators from Pennsylvania pass a permanent ban on Internet access taxes.
