The 1979-1980 session of the Urban Affairs Committee was chaired by Republican James W. Knepper (Majority) and Democrat Joel J. Johnson (Minority). Vice Chairman of the Minority was Democrat, Ruth B. Harper. The Chair of the Subcommittee on Cities and Counties First Class was Republican Dennis M. O'Brien and the chair of the Subcommittee on Cities and Counties Second Class was Republican George F. Pott. The Secretary was Republican Joseph M. Rocks.
