Senate Bill 509 of 1995: An Act amending Title 3 (Agriculture) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, adding provisions relating to weights and measures; regulating the use and sale; providing for the inspection of weighing and measuring devices; regulating the sale and packaging of commodities; authorizing the regulation of persons engaged in selling, installing and repairing commercial weighing and measuring devices; providing for certain standards, for testing and for the sale and packaging of certain commodities; providing for the licensing of public weighmasters and defining their powers and duties; regulating the sale and delivery of solid fuel and other commodities sold by weight; regulating the manufacture, sale, offering for sale, giving away and use of weights and measures and of weighing and measuring devices; providing for the approval and disapproval of such weighing and measuring devices; regulating the delivery of light fuel oil to domestic consumers; providing for certain powers and duties of the Department of Agriculture; imposing penalties; and making repeals.
