Senate Bill 729 of 1993:An Act amending Title 3 (Agriculture) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, adding provisions relating to bees, commercial feed, organic foods, maple products and food handlers; transferring regulatory responsibilities relating to public eating and drinking places and egg refrigeration to the Department of Agriculture; and making repeals. Senate Bill 1254 of 1993: An Act providing for the protection of public health and prevention of food-borne illness by establishing a food service certification program and a Food Service and Retail Food Employee and Food Manager Certification Board; and providing for the authority of the Department of Agriculture to approve certification programs and authorize the training of food service and retail food managers in all licensed facilities in this Commonwealth.
