Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

This collection is a well-rounded representation of Lita Indzel Cohen’s time in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. The majority of the collection consists of newspaper clippings covering many topics related to Cohen herself, constituent issues, and events in her district. Two topics in which Cohen felt strongly were abortion and gun control. Research material on both topics can be found in the Subject Files series, which also indicated Cohen’s pro-choice (when it came to abortion) and pro-gun control attitudes. A large portion of this collection is VHS tapes. These videotapes contain interviews with Cohen and by Cohen as well. They also cover multiple topics of interest to Cohen through a series called “Legislative Report,” in which she explains her feelings and stances on issues such as liquor privatization, women's health issues, and education.
