Biography

Paul Semmel (R) was born in 1939 in Schnecksville, PA. He was the son of Steward and Florence Semmel. He graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in agriculture education in 1961. He was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1982, serving the 187th District of Berks and Lehigh Counties for 12 consecutive terms. He is married to Nancy Semmel and has three children. He served on the Committee on Committees, Consumer Affairs Committees and was Chair of the Vetarans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee. Semmel dealt with issues such as Education, Healthcare, Veterans, and Military-related issues.
