Biography

Born and raised in Marysville, PA, Brooke obtained her B.A. in Political Science in 2006 from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. After college, Brooke attended The Widener Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, PA, where she participated in Widener’s Law and Government Institute to successfully complete specialized legal study programs in the fields of both Consumer Law and Constitutional and Administrative Law. During that process, Brooke had the opportunity to do an internship with the Pennsylvania Legislative Reference Bureau, where she worked primarily with the then soon-to-be-enacted Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law. Soon after, Brooke was offered the Right-to-Know Law Administrator position with the House of Representatives. Brooke graduated from Widener with her Juris Doctorate in 2009, and was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 2010. That same year, she assumed the dual roles of Assistant House Counsel and Right-to-Know Law Administrator serving under the direction of the House Chief Clerk. In 2012, Brooke was promoted to House Counsel, where she assumed full responsibility for legal affairs of the House Chief Clerk and Comptroller. Brooke continues to serve the House in this capacity today, and now also manages the CORE Legal Department, which includes the BMC Programs and CORE Human Resources Offices.
