WRIGHT, Gayle Marie, a Representative from Erie County; born, February 3, 1951 in Port Huron, St. Clair County, Mi.; graduated, Port Huron Northern High School, 1969; B.S., education and geology, University of Akron, 1973; graduate studies, Gannon University; science teacher, secondary education, Millcreek and Erie School Districts; elected, city council, Erie (1990-2001); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election, August 14, 2001; Sworn-In, September 5, 2001 to serve the remaining 2001 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 2003 term; elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (2004, 2008).
