DiGirolamo, Eugene D., 1950-
Biography
Eugene D. DiGirolamo was born on March 28, 1950 in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bishop Egan High School in 1968 before attending Delaware Valley and Holy Family Colleges. He was later a member of the Army Reserves while being a farmer and manager of DiGirolamo Farms, a family business. In 1990, DiGirolamo was elected as the auditor of Bensalem Township and served as chairman of the Bensalem Board of Auditors in 1993. His term as auditor ended in 1994, when DiGirolamo was elected to represent the 18th Legislative District for the 1995 term. During his time in the House, DiGirolamo was appointed the Chair of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Oversight Committee (2011-2019). He was also appointed a member of the Pennsylvania Statewide Suicide Prevention Task Force in 2019. From 2007- 2010, he was Majority Chair of the Labor Relations Committee. In 2011, DiGirolamo was appointed Majority Chair of the Human Services Committee, a position he held until he resigned on January 9, 2020. DiGirolamo is currently a Bucks County Commissioner.

Papers of Eugene D. DiGirolamo, 1995-2020
The papers of Eugene D. DiGirolamo contain his legislative work, subject files, correspondece, photographs and videos of his time in office. Much of DiGirolamo's legislation and correspondence deals with the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. In addition, photographs include headshots, group visits, and a certificate of elecction from 2016. There are numerous VHS tapes of events and speeches DiGirolamo did during his 25 years in office.
