Taylor, John J., 1955-
Biography
John J. Taylor is a former Representative from Philadelphia County. He was born in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 9th, 1955. He graduated from Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia. In 1980, Taylor earned is B.A. from the University of Central Florida. Four years later, he earned his J.D. from the Temple University School of Law. Prior to becoming a state representative, Taylor worked as an attorney for Rudolph, Dorian, Goldstein, Rochestle, Wisniewski and Taylor, P.C. He also worked as an attorney for Pelino and Lentym, P.C. Taylor served as counsel for Archer and Greiner, P.C. before being elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representative for the 1985 term. He was reelected to the House to serve sixteen more consecutive terms, and was not a candidate for reelection in 2018.
