a Representative from Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties who was born on February 21, 1936 and graduated from Jenkintown High School in 1952. He earned his B.A from the University of Pennsylvania in 1957 and his M.A from the University of Pennsylvania in 1958. He became a associate professor of American Civilization at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia And a professor at Acadia University and Montgomery County Community College. He was elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1993 term; served 9 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2012); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (2004); died, December 17, 2018 in Pennsylvania; interred, George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
