Biography

Julie Harhart was born in Northampton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, August 7, 1945 and graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School in 1963. She graduated from Bethlehem Business School in 1965. Harhart was a tax collector and Legislative Aid. Harhart was a Republican House Member representing Lehigh and Northampton Counties from 1995 to 2016. She served as Deputy Whip from 2003-2010. She served as Chair of the Professional Licensure Committee from 2011 to 2016. Her other committee assignments included Aging and Youth, Local Government, Intergovernmental Affairs, Health and Human Services, Children and Youth, Commerce, Tourism and Recreational Development, Consumer Affairs, and Transportation.
