Biography

Patricia Vance is a Representative from Cumberland County. She was born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pa. in March 19, 1936. She graduated William Penn High School in 1954, and graduated Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She was elected as a recorder of deeds in Cumberland County (1978-1990). Also, she served as a member in executive committee in Cumberland County Republican Committee. Then she was elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1991 term and served 7 consecutive terms. Afterwards she was appointed in Pennsylvania Emergency Management Authority (1991-1996). In 2004, she did not run for reelection to the House. Vance was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate from 2005-2016. Also, she was appointed in the Capitol Preservation Committee from 2009-2016.
