Biography

Edward Gene Rendell, born January 5, 1944 in New York City. He attended Riverdale Country School before the University of Pennsylvania, graduating 1965. In 1968, he earned a JD at Villanova University School of Law. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1968 to 1974. Elected district attorney of Philadelphia, 1978-1986. Mayor of Philadelphia, 1992-2000. Governor of Pennsylvania, 2003-2011.
